Happy 2018!

To ring in the New Year, I want to give a shout-out to my top three functional tools for the 2018. Check them out and enjoy! Four Sigmatic Coffee: an energy boost without a lot of caffeine? Yes, please! Four Sigmatic ’s coffees are made with adaptogenic mushrooms that give your body and brain a boost by supporting your immune system and hormone regulation. If you are trying to limit caffeine, this is a great alternative! It tastes amazing and comes in handy single-serving packets.  Headspace: for me, 2018 is going to be the year I finally start meditating regularly! There is so much good research about how meditation can help reduce stress levels. Reducing stress (and perceived stress) can drastically improve your health by keeping hormones in balance and reducing inflammation. I love Headspace because it only takes a couple minutes each day, the voice is super soothing, and I really feel less anxious after a session. Less stress and anxiety = me being more patient with the kiddos and less overwhelmed my my never-ending to-do list.  Great Lakes Collagen Hydrolysate: hands down, this is my favorite “protein powder” to put in smoothies. It is unflavored and mixes well into anything. Hydrolyzed collagen doesn’t result in a gel like regular collagen powders. Collagen is excellent for maintaining good gut health and makes up connective tissue in bones, ligaments, skin and cartilage. Collagen is a great protein supplement for athletes and those with digestive issues osteoarthritis. You can get Great Lakes Collagen here.
